Our Coaches

Our team of instructors bring many years of experience to the arena.   We have opportunities for each of our members learn & grow in many disciplines and in all levels from beginner to advanced.

Learn more about them below!

Gillian van der ven

Instructor - Beginners

Gillian has been enjoying horses since she was a child.  She currently shows on the hunter circuit and has competed at shows across the prairie provinces, including Rocky Mountain and the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair.  Gillian works closely with the Double T Ranch Learn to Ride program and instructs students in Stable Management

Rachael Erickson

Instructor - Beginner

Riding most of her life, Rachael's riding has been quite eclectic, trying her hand at anything possible horse related. This experience varied from western pleasure, to jumping, to driving a team, to pack trips in the mountains. One of the highlights of her riding career so far was riding for and being trained by the Riding Master at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Alberta.

Having taught beginners since she herself was only 14 years old Rachael thrives in following this passion! She loves to see others form a partnership with a horse no matter the discipline.

samantha harland
